We had a marvellous family holiday @ this property

"The facilities at Domaine de Montsalvy are excellent and and accurately described in their advertising. My wife and I stayed with our three children, their spouses and nine grandchildren. The property is fairly isolated, private and quiet but near enough to all the facilities and in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners."

Heerlijk nazomeren!

"In een zeer mooi en rustig gebied, hebben wij genoten van een "Wijn belevenis". Theo en Ellen (de gastheer en gastvrouw) hebben ons een fantastische week bezorgd en van hun uitmuntende gastvrijheid laten genieten. Zij hebben ons van chateau naar chateau gereden om ons de heerlijkste wijnen van Cahors, Fronton en Bergerac/Monbazillac te laten proeven (en kopen!). Voor een prima prijs hadden we bovendien de privacy van de knusse gite en de gezelligheid en het heerlijke eten in het hoofdgebouw. We komen in ieder geval nog een keer terug om te genieten van het zwembad en de tennisbaan, want daar zijn we niet aan toegekomen!"

A really welcoming and tranquil holiday location

"The Domaine de Montsavly is a very special place. Set in a tranquil location in the heart of the Lot region, it is a very peaceful and beautiful place to stay. There is nevertheless plenty to do with a swimming pool and tennis court, ping pong table, table football, extensive grounds and walks in the adjoining forest. We have been now for many years in the summer, at the request of our boys who love going there. There are always a group of children (ranging from young kids to teenagers), including the host family's own, who get together and enjoy each other's company.
The surrounding location also offers lovely French markets, stunning prehistoric caves and beautiful French towns and villages to visit.

The hosts Theo and Ellen are very welcoming and are part of why the Domaine is so special. They provide tapas and pizza evenings a couple of times a week which are eaten under the stars and helps create a sociable and warm atmosphere. Theo also offers tennis lessons and my husband has taken advantage of this to improve his skills while we have been there. You can preorder fresh baguettes and croissants from the local village bakery which Theo will deliver to your door every morning, allowing you to enjoy a stress free and delicious French breakfast. You can also order home made jam, wine and walnuts from the Domaine to compliment your meals.

I would wholeheartedly recommend the Domaine as a very special place to stay which offers you peace and tranquillity, with the option for activity if that's what you desire."

Rust & Stilte - wat een genot...

"Soms vind je een plekje dat zo uitzonderlijk is, dat je het met niemand zou willen delen. Nog net voor het “seizoen,” verbleven we een weekje in “le jardin,” een van de gites van dit domein. Het contrast met ons jachtig leven kon niet groter zijn: rust en stilte zijn de grootste troeven van deze bijzondere plek. In de gite zelf, kwamen we (een koppel met een tweeling van 11) echt niets te kort. Buiten – vanop het terras – heb je een zeer mooi zicht op het beboste dal, met enkel aan de einder een paar huizen (Vlakbij vind je overigens een beschermd natuurgebied, met goed bewegwijzerde wandelingen). De gite geeft uit op de zeer grote tuin (kippenren, moestuintje, fruitbomen, ligzeteltjes, tennisveld, zwembad…). De familie Drummen – een fijn echtpaar met 3 toffe kinderen - liet niets onverlet om het naar onze zin te maken en bleken bovendien ook nog eens uitstekende koks te zijn. Kortom, ben je op zoek naar een fijne en deugddoende vakantie, zoek dan niet verder en probeer dit eens"
